We are extremely proud that Clive's Cumbrian Way riders, supporters and friends raised £10,000 towards Megan's appeal, which has reached its target allowing her dream to come true.
In 2013 Clive's Cumbrian Way will be fundraising on behalf of Megan White of Cockermouth, Megan suffers from Cerebral Palsy/Spastic Diplegia, which is tightening of her muscles especially her legs.
She has limited mobility at the moment, some days are worse than others but she is very strong determined and battles on even
though she needs a walking frame, she would however, rather not use it as she doesn't like the attention it gives her. Through all this you'll never see Megan
without a lovely big smile on her face!
Her greatest wish is to ride a 2-wheeler bike and just be able to do what other able-bodied children can do.
The treatment the family are looking into is available in America, Kerrie her mum is currently in contact with various doctors and specialists both in the UK and America to see what treatment is going to be best to help Megan fulfil her dream. The treatment is going to cost in the region of £40,000 so every little is going to help us along the way. If anyone feels they can help in any other way please feel free to contact Kerrie or Peggy on 01900 826115.
Thank you to everyone who supported us last year, hopefully soon we can make Megan's Dream come true.
